Summary: A little exaggeration or white lie on a job application form is OK, isn’t it? Absolutely not, says Daniel Sokol, lecturer in medical ethics and law, St George’s, University of London. Applicants should be truthful because it is what a morally decent person would do, doctor or otherwise. It is a matter of self respect. Even magicians tell the truth on job applications.
